Rock Academy is a VIP event that will be launched in every capital city Australia wide! The Look and Learn party is a MUST for those who wish to stay up-to-date with all the latest cuts and updos. Hairstyle trends and cuts are constantly changing and Instant Rockstar have created Rock Academy to ensure that hairdressers have the opportunity to learn and replicate the edgiest most fashionably rockin' cuts from around the globe.

All fashion trends are cyclical, and in recent years have gradually modernised the looks of the 20th Century and planted them firmly in the 21st. Such a modernisation of past styles is especially true of men's hair trends in 2011: it's out with the new, and in with the old. Or at least an old hair style with a new twist.

2011 sees men's hair styles fall into two distinct categories: school boy and rocker. But while the rocker look is certainly a 20th Century creation, the resulting hair style finds its roots (if you'll pardon the pun) distinctly in 19th Century Britain. And so it is in 2010; while the odd 2010 runway collection featured something akin to a grunge revival, the majority of us will live out 2010 with a refined, classically inspired hair cut.

Instant Rockstar are proud to have supported iSelect Fasion+Aid 2010. We had a team of stylists working on the night to ensure all models and celebrity guests were looking their best. Over 1200 people celebrated the third annual iSelect Fasion+Aid charity event at the Palladium Ballroom at Crown Entertainment Complex on Saturday 11th September 2010. This year's Hair Expo was bigger than ever. With crowds of thousands there was Australia's best brands on show. Some of the styles and demonstrations were weird and wonderful e.g. grooming avante garde dread locks and ironing 'bling' through straights and curls. Instant Rockstar's stand #2912 was bustling with beauty editors and hairdressers being the first to check out the 'new do' and our re branded products.
